Time Trial Platformer

A small fish needs to get home, and must pass a bunch of different levels to get to the end. Levels include polluted ocean, river filled with industrial muck, irrigation canal at a farm, and motor boat infested lake, and maybe more (or less). As you go through the platformer, the water level of the background slowly decreases, and when it hits zero OR the fish you control touches air, you lose a life. You get points by eating other fish that are smaller than you and avoid ones bigger than you. By eating fish you grow, and hence you get to eat more types of fish, giving the player more points. Expand as you feel fit....

That sounds like a really good idea. I also had an idea of: a local large business is purposefully polluting the water around it and its our job to stop it...add on whatever your heart desires

I like both ideas, maybe you can combine them by making a large local business into the "bad guy" of the game. The fish could go through several levels where the head of the corporation tries to kill him off. Eventually, the fish will have battle the head of the corporation at the end.
